United Staff Group is hiring Speech-Language Pathologists for one of our sites in Gardena, CA. Candidate must have a current license to practice and be comfortable working with K-8 age groups.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for teaching groups of students.
- Meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
- You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students’ progress.
- Adapt learning materials to students’ needs, ability to create IEPs
- Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress
- Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if need
- Prepare students for the transition to the next grade
- Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities
- Collaborate with the support staff
- All other duties related to the program.
Requirement:
- Valid California Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Education Specialist License
- 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Master’s degree preferred
Salary:
$55.00 – $60.00 per hour
